What is included in a 4 pack? A 7 pack?

Our cloth diapers are sold as singles, in packs of 4 and packs of 7. Our single cloth diapers come with 1 bamboo insert. Our 4 pack of cloth diapers includes 4 pocket diapers and 4 bamboo inserts. Our 7 pack of cloth diapers includes 7 pocket diapers, 7 bamboo inserts and 1 wet bag that can be used to store clean and/or dirty diapers. 

Why does prepping cloth diapers require multiple washes?

This is an initial step that should be taken to rinse away any natural oils found on fabrics. Prepping cloth diapers also opens up fibres to ensure adequate absorbency. 

What are signs that I may have build-up on my diapers?

If you are experiencing absorbency issues, and/or an odor, you may have a build-up on your cloth diapers. This can be caused by hard water, detergents, or diaper creams that are not safe for cloth diapers, ointments, oils, etc.  For more information on build up and odor, please click on the links below:

What should I look for in a detergent?

When choosing a laundry detergent for cloth diapers, look for high cleaning power while avoiding fragrances and perfumes, dyes, optical brighteners and bleach. Avoid harsh enzymes if your baby has sensitive skin. Consider natural, unscented, non-toxic and hypoallergenic brands that are free of phosphates and other harsh chemicals. Ensure your cloth diaper detergent does not contain fabric softeners as this can cause residue build-up over time. See more on recommendations for detergents here:

Can I use diaper cream?

There are no diaper creams that aren’t cloth safe: These are made to create a barrier on your baby’s bottom, and, guess what? They will also leave a barrier on your diapers, which will inhibit their absorption. Some common diaper cream ingredients that can cause staining, repelling, or odors and should be avoided are as follows: petroleum/petroleum jelly, paraffin, cod liver oil and calamine.To see a list of recommended diaper creams. How many diapers do I need to start cloth diapering?

For newborns and young infants, the suggested number of cloth diapers and inserts is 24 to 36. For older infants, we suggest 14 to 24 diapers and inserts. These suggestions are based on the need to change a diaper every 2 hours, and would require washing every 2 to 3 days. If you plan to launder your diapers more frequently, you could make-do with fewer.

Hard water can be a nuisance as it leaves mineral deposits on your faucets and fixtures. Hard water can also affect the performance of your laundry detergents, and therefore can affect your laundry routine and cause build up. What temperature settings should I use?

Wash cloth diapers using a normal warm or hot water cycle. During regular washes, use water that is less than 95oF to increase the lifespan of your diapers. When cleaning cloth diapers that are extremely soiled or when tackling build-up, you can increase the water temperature - but ensure the water is less than 115oF. When you wash cloth diapers, never boil them as this can cause damage:

Are cloth diapers safe to put in the dryer?

Yes, cloth diapers are safe to put in the dryer. To lengthen the lifespan of your diapers, your best bet is to tumble dry on a delicate or low heat setting. When drying cloth diapers, avoid dryer sheets as this can cause residue build-up.

Can I wash cloth diapers with other laundry?

Yes, you can wash your cloth diapers with other laundry as long as the wash routine is consistent and cloth diapering washing/drying rules are adhered to. 

Make sure to avoid anything with velcro, and clasps, and zippers, as well as towels, and anything else you wash that requires a heavy duty wash cycle. 

How can I get rid of stains?

First know that staining on cloth diapers is normal! Allowing your cloth diapers some time to dry in the sun may be just what they need to help combat stubborn stains!

How long will my order take to ship?

All orders that are in-stock will be shipped within 3 business days from one of our warehouses which are located in the U.S.A. Unfortunately, Nora's Nursery cannot guarantee delivery times due to the unknowns involved with shipping (i.e. weather, labor disruptions, peak service times). See below for more information about USA and International shipping options.Please note that due to COVID-19 some of our shipping providers are experiencing delays, and tracking information can also be affected. It is important to use your tracking information provided and contact the carrier that is transporting your shipment if you need extra assistance. They will be able to give you updates on your items once they leave our warehouse.

We offer free standard shipping in the USA* on orders over $50! 

Free Standard Shipping (5-7 business days) on all orders over $50.

Orders under $50 will have a flat rate fee of $9.99 added during checkout for standard shipping. 

For our US customers that are outside the continental US (ie. Alaska and Hawaii) some shipping charges may apply. Please note due to the current situation with COVID-19 orders going to these areas are experiencing processing and shipping time delays. We ship to the UK & EU. To get your order to you, we've partnered with Passport Shipping and they will be the Seller for all orders to the UK for orders under €135 and orders to the EU for orders €150 and Under.

US Customers: Customers have 15 days after items are marked delivered to open a claim regarding missing or damaged items. After this time frame we are unable to support claims made. 

International Customers: Customers have 3 days after items are marked delivered to open a claim regarding missing or damaged items. After this time frame we are unable to support claims made. As International orders do take longer, any order that shows shipment and no updates after 10 days, you can reach out to our team to open an investigation for an update on your items.

Returns & Warranty Information

How do I change/cancel an order I just placed?

We get it - mistakes happen! When placing an order make sure to double check all of the shipping details. If an error happens, we will happily adjust your order up to one hour after the order is placed. Any request for changes after the 1 hour mark will be subject to shipping and restocking charges. 

Please note that all payments are processed in USD. Customers shopping outside the US will be charged in USD and their payment processor will handle the currency conversion. When processing an order cancellation the amount returned may vary based on that day's exchange rate.
