What Types Of Inserts Do You Offer?
We offer Bamboo, Microfiber and Charcoal, Cotton, and Hemp inserts, each designed for different levels of absorbency and use.
How Many Inserts Do I Need Per Diaper?
Typically, one insert is enough for daytime, but for heavy wetters or overnight, doubling up with a booster insert works best! See our blog here for more information
What’s The Difference Between Bamboo, Microfiber And Charcoal, Hemp, And Cotton Inserts?
✔ Bamboo Inserts – Soft, absorbent, and gentle on skin. A great all-around option.
✔ Charcoal & Microfiber Inserts – 5 total layers of protection. These inserts work great on their own or as a booster for long or overnight stretches.
✔ Cotton Inserts - 100% Cotton inserts feature 5 layers of cotton. Maximize absorbency as a booster, or use on its own as an all-around option
✔ Hemp Inserts – Super absorbent and great for boosting, but absorbs more slower. Great as a booster along with our Original Bamboo.
How Do I Wash And Prep New Inserts?
Pre-wash our inserts 3-5 times before first use to reach full absorbency. Further washing can help increase absorption!
Prepping for different insert materials may require more washes for them to reach full absorbency.
The amount of time it takes for your inserts to reach adequate absorption is sensitive to detergent, water hardness levels, and your wash routine!Wash in warm/hot water and avoid fabric softeners. See our washing 101 blog for full prepping instructions
Can Inserts Be Used Outside Of Pocket Diapers?
Inserts can be placed in the back pocket, and do add extra absorbency, on top of the diaper, placed directly against your baby’s skin!
What Does It Mean To ‘prep’ The Inserts?
Prepping is an initial step that should be taken to rinse away any natural oils found on fabrics. Prepping cloth diapers and inserts also opens up fibers to ensure adequate absorbency. Run your new inserts through 3 or 4 regular wash cycles. There is no need to dry in between washes!
Can I Prep Them With Other Laundry?
Feel free to throw them in with other household laundry to conserve water and save time. Run your diapers and inserts through a final rinse to ensure that all detergent has been washed away. Allow diapers and inserts to fully air dry or tumble dry on a low/medium heat or delicate dryer setting.
What Happens If I Don't Prep:
Prepping cloth diapers is essential to maximize absorbency, prevent leaks, and avoid skin irritation. It also helps maintain their shape, fit, and longevity.
